Health Careers

Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Enroll now $1050 - Tuition $75 - Textbook $150 - Licensing Fees 115 hour State Board of Nursing approved course prepares students for licensing exam. Applications Due June 10, 2019

Certified Phlebotomy Technician Review Enroll now $50 - Tuition (plus $115 exam) Once students have completed their 45 hour CCV Phlebotomy course, they can apply to be part of this 5 hour certification opportunity. Students will have a two hour exam review. Then students will sit for two - three hours for the nationally recognized CPT exam through National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Next certification opportunity Fall 2019

Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) Enroll Now $1400 Tuition - $100 Textbook 100 hour course offered to LNAs who hold an unencumbered Vermont LNA license and have 4000 hours of LNA experience (2000 hours in a long term care nursing facility). National certification results in an endorsement from the Vermont Board of Nursing, which allows the passing of certain medications at a Level 2 facility. Class begins in Jan 2020 - Application due December 1, 2019

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Enroll Now $700 - Tuition $75 - Textbook 140 hour course is designed to prepare students for national certification. Class begins in October 2019 - Application due September 15

Job Ready & Career Exploration

Assistance may be available for up to 50% of the tuition on the following classes.

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Enroll now $5200 - Class A (Tuition includes permit, license, and testing fees) $3500 - Upgrade B to A To qualify for a CDL in Vermont, you must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, pass a vision exam, and obtain a medical certificate. The United States Department of Transportation requires that all drivers, who transport materials across state lines, be at least 21. Next Class Fall 2019

Step Up to Childcare - Paid Internship Enroll now FREE - Students can earn $1700 If you are student in high school or college, or if you have graduated in the last 24 months, you are eligible to begin free training to become a childcare professional. This opportunity includes a $1700 paid internship at a local childcare center, the first class needed for certification “Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals,” and CPR/First Aid. *Only 10 spots available. Heavy Equipment Operation Email for an interview

$2900 for one module, $4800 for two modules, $5500 for all three modules

Offered at the River end Career & Technical Center in Bradford, Vermont. This program is designed to train operations of graders, excavators, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, skid steers, dump trucks, and compaction equipment.

Module 1: July 8 - 12 Module 2: July 15 - 19 Module 3: July 22 - 26

CPR/First Aid/AED Adult and Pediatric Enroll now $40 (includes text and card) Learn critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, CPR and AED use. Saturday, June 1 9:00am - 2:30pm (less time will be needed for refresher course)
