Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)

FULL - In Session

$1200 - Tuition / $75 - Textbook

This 115 hour State Board of Nursing approved course focuses on essentials for nursing assistants, and safe and effective practices in the health care setting. Students learn the basics of assisting patients, body mechanics, ethics, and communication, while preparing for licensing exam. The written and skill LNA test is scheduled upon completion. Applicants must be able to pass a background check. Proof of immunizations and current TB test required.

Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA)

This class is offered to LNAs who hold an unencumbered Vermont LNA license and have no fewer than 4000 hours of LNA experience, 2000 hours or one year must be in a long term care nursing facility. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED and successfully complete TABE in Applied Mathematics Level D6.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

This 140 course is designed to teach students the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level, and prepare them for certification by the National Registry of EMT's.

CPR/First Aid/AED Adult and Pediatric

$60 Tuition and card

Learn critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, CPR and AED use.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician Review

$50 - Tuition (plus $115 exam)

Once students have completed their 45 hour CCV Phlebotomy course, they can apply to be part of this 5 hour certification opportunity. Students will have a two hour exam review. Then students will sit for two - three hours for the nationally recognized CPT exam through National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

To qualify for a CDL in Vermont, you must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, pass a vision exam, and obtain a medical certificate. The United States Department of Transportation requires that all drivers, who transport materials across state lines, be at least 21.

Learn skills in basic electric arc, oxy-fuel, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding processes, as well as the safety procedures required to set up and shut down welding equipment. Industrial standards and American Welding Society standards are the foundation of our curriculum. Teaching will be accelerated depending on student’s experience. The goal for many will be preparation for AWS certification.

Accounting Fundamentals Series

$800 Includes pre-vehicle use impairing substance screening

This course is for teenagers or adults who have a current Vermont Learner’s Permit and want to obtain a Vermont Driver’s License. While this course meets all state requirements, it places special emphasis on crash avoidance, situational awareness, and zone control. The academic component includes 15 or 16 classroom lessons, each lesson being 2 hours long. The driving component typically includes 12 or 13 behind-the-wheel lessons.

Drive lesson location - North Country Career Center

Course materials are to be picked up at the North Country Career Center parking lot near the main entrance on Sunday November 29th between 1:00 - 2:30pm


Mandatory Parent & Student Orientation - Wednesday, December 2nd 4:30 - 6:30pm via online.

A parent or guardian shall attend Orientation with students under 18
