Introduction to Phlebotomy Register with CCV Newport This course covers the proper collection of blood specimens, choice of proper phlebotomy equipment, venipuncture techniques, patient care, safety, tests, and quality assurance. The course is designed to provide a minimum of 20 hours of practical instruction and skills development in phlebotomy.

Certified Phlebotomy Technician Review Enroll Now $50 - Tuition (plus $115 exam) Once students have completed their 45 hour CCV Phlebotomy course, they can apply to be part of this 5 hour certification opportunity. Students will have a two hour exam review. Then students will sit for two - three hours for the nationally recognized CPT exam through National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Medication Nursing Assistant (MNA) Enroll Now $1400 Tuition - $100 Textbook 100 hour course offered to LNAs who hold an unencumbered Vermont LNA license and have 4000 hours of LNA experience (2000 hours in a long term care nursing facility). National certification results in an endorsement from the Vermont Board of Nursing, which allows the passing of certain medications at a Level 2 facility. Class begins in Summer 2020

$5200 - Class A (Tuition includes permit, license, and testing fees) $3500 - Upgrade B to A To qualify for a CDL in Vermont, you must be at least 18, have a valid driver’s license, pass a vision exam, and obtain a medical certificate. The United States Department of Transportation requires that all drivers, who transport materials across state lines, be at least 21.

Driver's Education at NCCC

This course is for teenagers or adults who have a current Vermont Learner’s Permit and want to obtain a Vermont Driver’s License. While this course meets all state requirements, it places special emphasis on crash avoidance, situational awareness, and zone control. The academic component includes 15 or 16 classroom lessons, each lesson being 2 hours long. The driving component typically includes 12 or 13 behind-the-wheel lessons, in which students receive ½ hour of instruction and observing an additional ½ to 1 hour.
