Participants will learn: 

  • Essential positive psychology principles and theories
  • Key topics related to improved well-being in the workplace
  • The importance of positive psychology principles in educational settings
  • Positive interventions to improve mental health and employment satisfaction
  • Effective delivery techniques of positive psychology content to various audiences

This class meets online during scheduled times. here are seven online modules and one introductory session. Students will consume content asynchronously prior to live biweekly online Zoom calls and explore ways in which the material can be applied to both their personal and professional lives.

Training will be at North Country Career Center

NKHS offers QPR Gatekeeper Training for people of any age to raise awareness, dispel myths and misconceptions, and teach three skills that can help save a life. A QPR Gatekeeper will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide, know how to offer hope, know how to get help and save a life.

No Cost For Participants - Tuition

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Topics that are covered are depression and mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, psychosis and substance use disorders.
